**Job Purpose Summary:
To proactively liaise with clients, intermediaries and other offices of Trident Trust Group in respect of the administration of a portfolio of companies (Singapore and Offshore companies) including Pension Schemes and Trust Administration and other types of entities required by clients and to provide support, training and assistance to other team members.
**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities/Duties**:
- To be responsible for, and take ownership of, the overall administration of the portfolio, including, but not limited to, achieving high standards of corporate governance, fiduciary integrity and statutory compliance, and maintaining up-to-date records.
- To act as the quality control function for work prepared by assistants and support offices of Trident Trust Group ensuring that the work is accurate and prepared in a timely manner.
- To effectively manage the relationship with clients, professional advisers and other key stakeholders to ensure that their expectations are managed when requesting work, including the fee applicable for work outside of agreed scope.
- As far as is possible, to be aware of current and contemplated intentions regarding client entities’ transactions/restructuring (“Client Intentions”). Client Intentions may be stimulated by various factors, including, for example, client aspirations, tax advice, legal and tax developments, economic and political factors, and any other relevant inducements. To critically assess and analyse Client Intentions in terms of corporate efficacy, practicality, cost, protection of TCSS’s position and to identify risks and options for risk mitigation. To liaise with your line manager in relation to Client Intentions and throughout the risk assessment, identification and mitigation process.
- May be required to manage staff (depends on grade) ensuring that they provide a high-quality service to clients and other stakeholders. Responsibility for allocation of resources and staff performance, annual appraisal, development (including identifying training needs) and mentoring.
- To ensure that invoices are sent out to clients and paid in a timely manner. Bring any problematic cases to the Business Unit Head.
- To keep up to date with regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements within Singapore but also in other jurisdictions where Trident Group has a presence.
- To ensure that internal policies and procedures are followed and actively help to propose changes where necessary for increased risk management and improved efficiency.
- To oversee regulatory deadlines, such as filing of Annual Returns, holding of Annual General Meetings etc.
- Liaise with the New Business Team regarding the onboarding of new clients.
- To ensure that the database and computer systems are populated correctly and operated in accordance with policy and procedures set by the company.
- To meet chargeable time requirements.
- To participate in the management of the business as a whole including regular participation in team meetings and sharing of experience and knowledge to improve the business as a whole.
- Such other duties as determined by the directors of the company.
**Skills and Competencies:
- Experience of working in an environment where some work is outsourced to support teams outside of Singapore would be an advantage.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of working experience in similar capacity
- University / polytechnic graduates (Accounting, Finance or para-legal discipline)
- Holds a professional qualification with ICSA or Accounting or similar qualification
- Able to lead, guide and manage staff.
- Organised and meticulous
- Efficient and resourceful
- Able to manage deadlines and monitoring of jobs delegated to assistant or support team in other Trident Trust offices.
- Have initiative and good business sense
- Cheerful disposition and team player willing and able to provide assistance to colleagues when appropriate to do so.
