What the role is
This teaching role is in the School of Business.
**What you will be working on**
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual in the fields of airline, airport or tourism operations who is dedicated to inspire and prepare learners for successful careers.
- Plan, initiate and mentor collaboration with relevant industry players to support student learning and staff participation.
- Undertake industry or consultancy projects.
- Participate in delivery of outreach activities to market the school and course to potential students.
- Develop and provide pastoral care and career guidance to students and alumni in related areas.
- Contribute to poly-wide/school-wide events or activities.
- Perform administrative and other related tasks and projects as required.
**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of industry experience in airline, airport or tourism operations.
- Strong proficiency in using airline Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus.
- Committed to driving digitalisation and innovation in the hospitality and tourism industry.
- A dedication and genuine interest in teaching and students’ learning.
- Strong digital skills and the ability to learn new software quickly will be an advantage.
- The ability to facilitate students’ learning using best practice educational methodologies will be preferred.
- Possess effective written and spoken communications skills.
- Able to work independently and in teams.
