With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDSG LTD offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programme Officer contributes actively to the programme needs of Caregivers Support Services under the umbrella of Community-Based Support Services (CSS). He/she will be involved in the planning, coordinating and executing of programme events and activities that suit the needs of families of persons with intellectual and developmental needs. CSS is the dynamic and nimble service delivery arm in MINDS that response to emerging needs of PWIDs and Caregivers in the community. The programme officer will work in synergy with various direct community services i.e. Home-based Care Services, Caregivers Support Services, Befriending and Respite Services and Future Care Planning Teams to enhance integration and community living of caregivers and PWIDs in the community.
A proactive thinker, resourceful and responsible team player, he/she works closely with colleagues across MINDS to plan each programme and to guide volunteers/vendors in a smooth delivery of programme activities. He/she will also connect and coordinate with other organisations to execute collaborative, inclusive and client-centric programmes, to manage communications and feedback from stakeholders, and to conduct outreach activities to other organisations and the community.
**Programme and Event Support**
- Support programmes based on client needs
- Maintain records, attendance and progress evaluation of clients and caregivers
- Develop information materials for distribution to clients and volunteers
**Build Stakeholder Relationship**
- Take stock of programme resources (hardware and software) and provide updates to supervisor
- Provide clerical and administrative support to account for financial and procurement matters
- Manage client membership and payments
- Create collaterals for programmes
**Stakeholder Relations**
- Manage communications and feedback from stakeholders
- Support outreach activities to targeted client group/s, other organisations, and the community
- Source, guide and coordinate volunteers/vendors in executing assigned events and/or activities
- Support the development of community outreach plan with the Community Based Support Services team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma holder in any discipline, with 1 - 2 of working experience
- Certificate in basic case management will be an advantage
OTHER INFORMATION
- Relevant Digital literacy and mass communications certificate
- Social Service sector/ programme management experience will be an advantage
- Hands-on with strong communication and good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence.
- Have Strong Interest and Open Attitude towards understanding Persons with Intellectual Disability and their needs.
- Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to MINDS' core values.
