**Position Summary**:
To train and assess students on school programmes, to carry out assessment, evaluation and other administrative duties relating to the post and provide relevant student support.

**Job Functions**:

- To act as a trainer for hairdressing courses for students and other courses for the School as required.
- To report student progress and take appropriate actions to help students overcome any difficulties they may have with the completion of the qualification within the agreed timescale.
- To take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation.
- Maintain accurate and up to date assessment records for all students beingassessed; attend curriculum planning and monthly meetings.
- To take part in curriculum planning as required in order to deliver the School’sobjectives.
- To undertake research and to engage in necessary developments to ensure qualitydelivery.
- To contribute to School quality assurance systems and provide information asrequired.
- To contribute to meeting School targets for promoting student recruitment andimproving student retention, achievement and progression.
- To contribute to skills development in accordance with the School’s strategic plan.
