Electrical Engineer

**The Role**:

You will be reporting directly to Electrical Manager in Electrical Engineering Department. The Electrical Engineering team provides electrical technical engineering & assurance support, maintenance strategy and guidance to the plant maintenance engineers in Production Units and Electrical Distribution to ensure reliability and integrity of all electrical equipment in Bukom.

**What’s the role?**

Your accountabilities include the following:

- Conduct failure analysis, problem solving and complex system evaluation of electrical equipment major problems. Mitigation and recommendation to include input from other stakeholders e.g. Technology, Operation and Maintenance departments.
- Consolidate issues and learning /sharing together with other Production Units (PU) electrical support engineer.
- Review common/site wide issues/threats and provide sustainable long & short-term solution/mitigation. Follow through end-to-end, MTO, short & long-term mitigation actions, implementation, and review.
- Support operations in the areas of troubleshooting of complex electrical problems, selection, revamp and retrofit of existing equipment, identification of repairs needed, selection of overhaul procedures, condition monitoring, and interface with/or selection of vendors.
- Facilitate, lead, and/or participate in structured analysis processes, e.g., Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessments and Solution Development.
- Interface and manage vendors and/or consultants in the acquisition of hardware or technical support. Conduct Plant Electrical Integrity as part of MEC LOD1 and Electrical Safety field audits to ensure sustained safety and reliability of the electrical installation.
- Provides feedback/technical advice/input in the practices of Predictive Maintenance or Condition monitoring of electrical equipment.
- Participate in RCM reviewing adequacy of maintenance regime to be implemented into GSAP, recommend equipment/parts sparing
- Review non-moving items in stock and recommendation for preservation. Review critical spares and preservation in warehouse. Review and drive preservation of assets - Review assets reliability performance, obsolescence, bad-actors and provide mitigations for solutions. - Drive asset replacement plan in PU or Distribution. Drive innovation and support digitalization effort for assets maintenance, e.g. digital EQCC, online monitoring programme / Vibration Smart sensors.
- Initiate and technical support for Management of Change (MOC) (e.g. PCR/CRER for asset replacement / modification / improvement). Ensure end-to-end delivery of MOC.
- Support Maintenance Execution for asset at SJI and coordinate Switching activities with SJI TA window.
- Support cost transformation journey via active participation in FIT 4 to drive new ideas and initiatives from Electrical Engineering Perspectives and others.

Special Project Development roles and responsibilities:

- Support Development electrical masterplan infrastructure projects, including High voltage and Low voltage switchgear/ transformer/ cable / motors / Fire Alarm Rejuvenation / vital & emergency supplies rejuvenations, Electrical distribution network improvement.
- Provide technical input for Bukom internal project and Major / P&T developed project, ensure alignment and synergy with Electrical infrastructure rejuvenation plant.
- Support the Engineering Development to mitigate threat from Lightning on ADR Tanks.
- Quality focal / champion for electrical workshop to drive Motor overhaul & servicing technique & standards.

Turnaround (TA) roles and responsibilities:

- Consolidate the TA scope from electrical maintenance or distribution engineer. Final submission of electrical TA scope.
- Review compliance to the code of practice/statutory requirement, vendor recommendation, maintenance requirement and MEC/RSL.
- Participate in TA scope optimization, review and TAR review. - Ensure quality and safety of electrical work in the TA as a Q-captain.
- Support engineering & assurance of TA temp supply requirements and compliances (design safety, implementation, and controls)

HSSE Responsibilities:

- Appointed as Senior / Authorized Electrical Person (SEAP)
- Involved in scheduled safety & reliability walkabout / Go & See
- Practitioner of the Bukom Electrical Safety Rules
- Practitioner of “Blue Zone / Barrier Thinking”.
- Full compliance with LSR & Electrical Safety Rules at all times with Zero electrical incident
- Safety mentor to Electrical staffs, contractors, and workers.
- Support Electrical Safety SME / SEA as delegates and to manage authorized electrical persons, electrical installation licensing with EMA Singapore and update Electrical Safety Rules inclusive of non
- electrical personnel e.g PUs operators**.**
