**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Head of credit solutions to design, implement and maintain risk control and monitoring parameters across SMBC Group (including policies, control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levers) to maintain the risk profile of the portfolio in line with risk appetite
- Work with the risk and legal teams to evaluate individual lending proposals and to ensure support from an end-to-end view, i.e., credit evaluation, write-up of credit proposals, loan approval, documentation and post disbursal monitoring.
- Support the launch of initiatives such as new product approvals, systematic monitoring and control initiatives, collateral management, loan to value management and risk appetite framework
- Partner with senior management teams to deliver financial objectives, prioritize and drive execution of key initiatives, and ensure cohesive teamwork across the businesses and functions
- Implement and execute both regular and ad-hoc stress tests as required by regulators and internal parameters
- Coordinate and work closely with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Credit, Planning and other control functions including SMBC Head Office and group companies such as SMBC Nikko securities to enhance the cooperation and capabilities

**Job Requirements**
- University Degree
- A strong background in private bank credit and passion to establish guidelines, monitoring control, system, collateral management and risk grading.
- Experience in credit analysis and approval process, credit policies, documentation, stress testing, processes and controls, monitoring, regulatory interpretation, and risk appetite.
- Proven track record and accountability providing clarity in complex problems
