**About the Job** - Barista

We are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, hospitable and creating incredible guest experiences grounded in care and respect. He/she will help with Alchemist daily operations in our six outlets (International Plaza, Khong Guan Building, Hong Leong Building, The Mill, CIMB Building, 71 Robinson, and The Heeren). We invite you to grow as a family and create community through coffee with us.

**You will**
- Deliver exceptional hospitality to our guests, your fellow colleague, and all of our vendors and suppliers
- Make and serve a selection of delicious beverages with a variety of different brewing and preparation methods
- Stay knowledgeable about Alchemist’s current beverage offerings and preparation techniques; continuously cultivating your own curiosity and knowledge through in-house tastings, cuppings, and trainings
- Taste our coffee regularly to ensure quality, uphold our standards, and develop your palate
- Create community in our cafes by sharing your joy and knowledge of coffee with our guests; inspire your fellow teammates to do the same
- Support your team by taking joy in the tasks that keep the cafe running smoothly and beautifully—these tasks may vary but can include cleaning, clearing and washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing condiment stations, and taking out trash
- Maintain proper health, food safety, and safety guidelines
- Promote a clean and safe workspace

**You are**
- Proactive and enthusiastic individuals with an avid interest in learning and making coffee
- Outgoing personality to interact with customers and retain regulars
- Passionate about speciality coffee and creating inclusive hospitality engagement
- Excited about taking on challenges and possess a positive attitude
- Legit to work in with a Singapore / Permernant Resident permit
- Possess a valid food hygiene certificate

**Compensation**
- Full Time: Salary ranges from $2,000 to $2,600
- Part Time: Salary starting from $10, depending on experience

Alchemist started out in May 2016, serving coffee to the community around International Plaza.

As a small hole-in-the-wall coffee joint located within the bustling Central Business District, the first step began with a commitment to the delivery of great coffee in a simple and no-frills approach. These later became our founding values that we as a small local business take pride in.

In 2019, we took a big leap of faith and launched our flagship store at Khong Guan Building. A sanctuary within a heritage building where you can enjoy a fresh brew of coffee, in full view of our roastery in action.

Over the last few years, we stayed committed to the delivery of simple and no-frills coffee experience in each and every one of our coffee bar. We now have 8 outlets in total, including Hong Leong Building, The Heeren, The Mill, CIMB Plaza, Asia Square and 71 Robinson.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,600.00 per month
