
Sales Engineer

**Position Overview**
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling pumps, pumping systems and related equipment to clients in the building and construction sector. This includes residential, commercial and industrial projects. The role involves technical consultations, solution design, customer relationship management and achieving sales targets.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sales & Business Development**
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the building and construction sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and plumbers
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
2. **Technical Support & Solution Design**
- Provide technical guidance on pump selection, system design and installation.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure optimal pump solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
3. **Market Analysis & Strategy**:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
- Develop sales strategies to expand market share in the building and construction sector.
4. **Customer Service & After-Sales Support**
- Address customer inquiries and resolve technical or commercial issues.
- Coordinate with service teams for installation, commissioning, and maintenance support.
5. **Reporting & Compliance**:
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and reports.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in Engineering, Sales, Business or related field.
- 2 years of experience in pump sales, HVAC systems or related industrial equipment.
- Experience in the building and construction sector.
- Strong understanding of pump systems (centrifugal, submersible, booster pumps etc).
- Familiarity with building services (plumbing, firefighting, HVAC, water supply).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and customer relationship management abilities.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
