**What the day will look like**
- Manage and service a portfolio of Marine Shipping accounts and ensure its financial sustainability and growth.
- Client retention as well as revenue growth through penetration (organic growth), new sales initiatives and cross selling.
- Day to day point of contact for clients in the portfolio on addressing queries.
- Assess and identify risks relating to the client operations.
- Prepare underwriting reports and lead broking, negotiation and placement of risks to the insurance market.
- Responsible premium closings and submissions to CPU team for billing.
- Act as specialist for internal and external stakeholders. Assist junior colleagues.
- Claims management.
- Identifying client needs and requirements and translating these into tailored insurance and/or service solutions.
- Building and maintaining a close business relationship with clients and prospects at different stakeholder levels.
- Delivering services and monitoring Aon performance through implementation of the Aon Client Promise methodology.
- Accountability for budget performance and other projects as assigned.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- Minimum requirement (BCP, PGI, CommGI) for registration with MAS or such similar qualification acceptable to MAS
- At least 6 years of experience within the insurance industry
- Preferably minimum 2 years of experience working with Marine Shipping accounts
- Strong technical skills around insurance policy interpretation and drafting and/or Marine Risk
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to forge strong relationships with country and specialty colleagues as well as clients and insurers.
- Self-disciplined, organized, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
