About the Role:
The copy editing team performs critical functions for some of LexisNexis® Risk Solutions’ leading brands including ICIS and Cirium. With offices in London, Houston, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Singapore, the team is responsible for copy editing, design and layout, as well as translation across our various brands.

As part of the Singapore team, the copy editor will be responsible for ensuring ICIS output meets the standards required by the business.

Responsibilities
- Proof and edit content across the business to ensure that it is clean, concise and accurate
- Ensure the compliance workflow is maintained to a uniform set of standards
- Ensure corrections are avoided and the content is easy to understand
- Check data is presented consistently and accurately
- Ensure the content is factually accurate and legally sound
- Look beyond cosmetic issues in the content and ask more searching questions
- For example, are the prices and content factually correct? Is the story balanced and legally sound? Could it do with more context?_
- Ensure the content is formatted correctly for publication
- Complete work quickly and to deadlines
- Keep accurate and comprehensive records of corrections prevented by your editing

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in journalism, media, communications or similar
- Understanding or experience in covering petrochemical/energy markets would be an asset
- An inquisitive mind
- High level of numerical accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Able to work shifts, including 11am to 8pm, on weekdays
- Able to work on public holidays
