The opportunity:
- Assess and manage property and engineering claims from initial notification through to settlement.
- Handle direct and reinsurance business, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with co-insurers and reinsurers to resolve claims efficiently.
- Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of claims, including site visits when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of claims activities.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve queries.
- Analyze loss data and prepare reports for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in claims handling.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess basic CGI, CII or equivalent
- Prior experience in loss adjusting firms or equivalent roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of property and engineering insurance principles and claims processes.
- Familiarity with reinsurance business, including direct and reinsurance arrangements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in claims management software, P400 system, Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics tool, such as Tableu.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACII or equivalent) are a plus.
