About the job

This position will support the Head of Finance INSEA by being responsible for the full Finance function encompassing accounting, taxation, statutory reporting, treasury and secretarial activities for the Singapore legal entity (VG1700) - Swarovski Singapore Trading Pte Ltd. The role might also be requested to handle other matters within the SEA markets.

The role will be a partner to the Business Controller, INSEA driving the Finance strategy, improving Finance operations efficiency and bottom-line results of the markets of Singapore and Emerging Markets.

The role is also acting as the local point of contact between Global Business Services teams based in Penang and Gdansk and should ensure a clear, smooth and proper cooperation between all parties and that Global processes are properly implemented and executed.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure efficient Finance processes in the Singapore entity (VG1700) for markets Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam (and also any other markets that management might expand into). Align all processes with other peers and also GBS teams ensuring there is efficiency in work and consistent reporting procedures throughout the Cluster.
- Ensure that corporate finance policies are practiced and executed within VG1700. Adherence to Corporate and reporting guidelines is crucial.
- Ensure compliance with accounting, secretarial & taxation legislations within Singapore for VG1700.
- Understand and ensure VG1700 is legally adhering.
- Acts as a business partner to pro-actively support, advise and challenge other departments in the best interest of VG1700.
- Support Business Controller to prepare annual budget for VG1700 or any other legal entity where possible.
- Support to control local annual budget and operate within budgetary guidelines.
- Support to analyze financial results/situations and also ensure reliability of financial results.
- To perform cash flow projection ensuring adequate funding and effective management of VG1700 funds.
- Ensure timely accounts closing and reporting of VG1700.
- Ensure reliability of financial results, proper accountability and protection of VG1700 assets.
- Ensure effective internal controls and initiate process improvements as and when necessary. Be part to align standard controls and processes across all VGs in INSEA.
- SAP user.
- Follow up on operational issues and initiate improvements.
- Ensure accounting operations excellence through consistent roll-out of all accounting workflow processes and reporting standards to VG1700.
- Be a reliable team member within the Cluster F&A Organization.

About You
- Professional qualification in Finance/Accounting.
- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience with 3 years’ audit experience.
- Good leadership capabilities.
- Capable of working independently and taking proactive actions.
- Good interpersonal skills in handling both internal and external customers.
- Good communication skills and able to work with people at all levels.
- Good PC Skills in Windows/MS Office.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Strong knowledge of statutory and tax requirements.
