Director, Finance

**Description**
The Director of Finance (APAC - Asia Pacific) using independent judgement, supports the General Manager in market expansion activities relating to Finance, HR, and business operations, including managing internal control systems and process, building and leading the APAC accounting team, and managing and supervising all aspects of APAC accounting operations.

**Responsibilities**

Build and lead a strong, integral finance team involved with day-to-day plans and operations of the business, providing proactive advice, support, and execution of responsibilities of both current and future business needs.
- Work closely with Inari’s audit and tax service providers and global Inari finance and accounting teams to ensure required statutory financial statements for audit and tax purposes are met.
- Ensure compliance with APAC GST, payroll, local reporting, and other APAC regulatory requirements and coordinating with service providers as needed.
- Work with APAC commercial team to understand all customer contracts and their accounting implications, including national contracts, creating routines processes to calculate, pay, and report related commissions, rebates, or other fees.
- Work closely with the APAC GM and HR on payroll and benefit matters.
- Support APAC country growth by directing local personnel in various functions during growth phase.
- Be the liaison between the GM and Inari headquarters with various functional partners such as regulatory, logistics, and legal.
- Hold a key role in the strategic and annual operating planning process for the region.
- Maintain the internal control environment within the business as well as adherence to USGAAP and US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Work with Inari US accounting and finance team to build out reporting capabilities, ensuring a smooth future transition of monthly financial close process locally.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA or equivalent credential required (active or inactive).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the APAC region.
- Previous experience working for a US based multi-national public company in a managerial role; medical device industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and working with results-oriented, global, cross-functional, and multi-disciplinary teams in a fast paced and highly competitive global environment.
- Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, finance, cost accounting, and differences between US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, using both good business judgment and cultural sensitivity.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data/inputs.
- Handle extremely sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent technology skills, e.g., experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Able to work in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
- Understanding of US SOX, US GAAP, and other accounting rules.
