Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an** Underwriting Executive (06 months) **in our Product-Motor Department.

**Job Description**:

- Assess and underwrite Motor retail and scheme business profitably within delegated underwriting authority
- Review existing accounts periodically; monitor and analyze producers’ performance to ensure business growth and profitability.
- Ensure required reports and submissions are done within timelines
- Compile essential management information or business intelligence to support trend analysis and planning exercise
- Assist with Competitors Analysis and market research
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, partners and clients
- Work closely with Claims, Finance, Customer Service departments to facilitate optimal support to producers
- Ensure compliance with the company’s requirements and all other relevant statutory regulations and guidelines
- Ensure accuracy in the wording of insurance documentation (eg policy jackets and clauses).
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Business (Analytics)/Economics/Actuarial Science or equivalent
- Possess Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent
- Min 3 years of working experience in the motor insurance/bancassurance industry as an Underwriter
- Underwriting technical knowledge in Motor insurance, in particular private motor
- Strong numerical and analytical skills to identify trends and propose solutions
- Working knowledge in Power BI/dashboarding tools will be highly advantageous
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken)
- Highly meticulous, accountable and results oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment making quick decisions while adhering to sound underwriting discipline
- Fresh graduates with a quantitative discipline (e.g. Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science etc.) are welcome to apply
