JOB SUMMARY:
The CTO is a key contributor to Unilever International’s strategy and 5bn Growth. The role will be responsible both for IT operations and for technology and digital innovation. It is critical for the CTO to build strong and productive relationships with all business unit leaders on strategic, business, organizational & technology issues in close collaboration with global data and platform teams, acting as a true growth partner and making Digital a business growth enabler and a force for good.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Leadership- Develop a Digital Transformation strategy (where to play) and implementation roadmap (how to win) from a technical and business perspective, as well as planning, prioritizing, and making decisions regarding our product roadmap.- Develop the product and any prototypes required to achieve product market fit prior to scaling.- Proactively advise the leadership team on the emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to UI’s goals and evolving needs.- Accountable for establishing total UI Digital plan, budget, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making prioritizations across the Digital service lines to best serve UI’s growth agenda.- Build strong relationships with business groups and their leaders across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities.- Evangelize UI’s digital and data strategy to partners, management, investors and employees.- Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities and risks for UI IT initiatives to maximize ROI.

Data and Analytics- Implements solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques and statistics.- Build data-science and technology based algorithmic solutions to address business needs.- Communicate findings to analytics leads and business stakeholders.- Design large scale models using Logistic Regression, Linear Models Family, Conjoint Analysis, Spatial models, Time-series models, Text mining.- Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources.- Analyze and interpret the results of analytics experiments.- Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to wider analytics team.- Prepares and conducts trainings and mentors team members on latest analytical methodologies.- Applies a global approach to analytical solutions-both within a business area and across the enterprise.

IT Operations-
- Maintain oversight of all Technology projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.- Establish a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data.- Establish and enforce IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.- Guide risk management strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity efforts- Monitor the industry for developments in IT operations; evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks.
