(Singapore) Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager of Proposal Development you will manage a team of Proposal Development Managers ("PDMs"), who are responsible for directly supporting both sales and operations team members. Team duties include composing formal responses to RFQ, RFI and "unsolicited" opportunities in a professional manner, thereby, directly contributing to the goal of increasing profitable "services" revenue growth. You will provide training and role modeling on complex solution creation, demonstrating how tasks should be completed and ensuring PDMs become independently capable of supporting all service offerings provided by Wesco. You will prepare monthly reports on pre-award SCS proposal and RFP activity for Senior Management across functional groups. In addition, you will oversee quality of PDM output and monitor feedback from Sales and functional groups to confirm ongoing contribution to the company mission, vision, strategies, and objectives.

**Responsibilities**
- Leads the PDMs to promote profitable and sustainable sales growth through the creation of relevant, value-add solutions that enhance all sizes and scopes of proposals.
- Establishes baseline expectations for the PDMs as virtual workers to maintain high levels of quality work, volume of work, and proactive interaction with Sales.
- Monitors and reports to senior company management on N.A. Pre-Award activity monthly and YTD for overall project / RFx opportunities and specific to Basic Solutions.
- Regularly communicates with Director of N.A. Proposal Development on ways to improve and expand upon existing solutions and processes, with focus on Technology-enabled and Data Driven enhancements.
- Manages the HR needs of PDMs, ranging from vacation scheduling to compension and MIP reviews, ethical concerns, and career development.
- Serves as the primary driver of coherence and clear communication with the many functional groups that support the PDMs as SMEs, so that the daily interactions are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Oversees the continual improvements to forms and checklists, processes, protocols, and plans which underlie how Pre-Award opportunities are received during intake, summarized, qualified, priced, and proposed in the life cycle of a project.
- Evaluates the individual contributions of PDMs and provides guidance and, where necessary, a defined performance improvement plan to ensure the quality of work meets expectations.
- Constantly recruiting for new talent to join the PDM team.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelors Degree required
- A self-starting, positive, and driven attitude.
- 5+ years of leadership experience (e.g. as a people manager, team leader, or volunteer supervisor) which involved helping to develop the capabilities of individuals to achieve individual and team objectives.
- 1 year or more Project management and collaboration skills in a high volume or fast paced environment.
- 6 years proposal/sales writing, or distributor sales and marketing experience.
- 5 years’ experience in a business to business setting in a sales/operations support role.
- Excellent oral communication skills accompanied by strong written communication skills, including original composition proofreading, and editing
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with diligent follow through.
- The ability to lead without having direct authority.
- Proficient in Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel 0-25% of the time.
