Singapore THE GOOD PROTEIN NETWORK LIMITED Full time

The Good Food Institute is an international network of nonprofit think tanks working to make the global food system better for the planet, people, and animals. Alongside scientists, businesses, and policymakers, GFI’s teams focus on making plant-based, fermentation-enabled, and cultivated proteins delicious, affordable, and accessible. Powered by philanthropy, we are advancing alternative proteins as an essential solution needed to meet the world’s climate, global health, food security, and biodiversity goals.

GFI APAC’s Communications Manager sets the vision for all external-facing organisational messaging, including but not limited to published and digital content, social media, and external brand collaborations. Through hands-on projects and direct supervision of our communications experts, the Communications Manager’s success is measured by how effectively GFI APAC as an organisation is engaging key stakeholder audiences and persuading them to take decisive action to accelerate protein innovation in Asia.

We are looking for a proven leader who will:

- Develop ambitious plans for targeted engagement with high-impact stakeholder audiences that can accelerate alternative protein uptake and innovation, and regularly evaluate our campaign progress.
- Manage the GFI APAC Communications team which includes a Senior Writer and a Communications Associate and ensure the team develops and delivers on strategic plans.
- Collaborate closely with the other managers in GFI APAC to contribute to strategic planning and strategy execution.
- Oversee partnership opportunities with mission-aligned external entities and organisations to execute joint initiatives related to public messaging about alternative proteins in Asia Pacific.
- Proactively engage organisers of high-value conferences and live events on behalf of the GFI APAC team to ensure that our programmatic experts can maximise their outreach to target stakeholder audiences, and work with our experts to develop their slide decks and other presentation materials.
- Manage GFI APAC’s internal resources, including but not limited to photo archives, SOPs, and shared drives, talking points, website updates.
- Deliver presentations about our Communications team’s work and thought-leadership strategies to external and internal audiences as needed.
- Compile all internal weekly, monthly, cyclical, and one-off reports, in collaboration with the Managing Director, to ensure that GFI’s global leadership, as well as donors and specific external partners are informed of regional progress and challenges.
- Provide strategic guidance on GFI APAC’s content creation, distribution, and marketing strategies across digital platforms, including our website, blog, e-newsletters, and social media.
- Work with our Senior Writer to build and manage media relationships that could help drive the public conversation about alternative proteins.
- Support GFI’s international affiliates by providing APAC-specific inputs and insights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
