- Lead a team of service technicians and plan, organize, and execute repairs, maintenance and reconditioning jobs onboard the vessels in shipyards, ports, anchorage, or voyage and offshore.
- Take the necessary measurements and readings to provide a repair plan, estimated repair time, consumables, and raw materials required for the job.
- Keep accurate records of all repair and maintenance work performed on the marine mechanical equipment’s, including any parts replaced or repaired.
- Hands on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical or diesel components.
- Interact with customers during the work execution.
- Perform internal and external progress status up-dates of the assigned work.
- Assist with the development and implementation of service procedures and policies.
- Monitor service performance metrics and work with the team to identify areas for improvement.
- Strictly adhere to safe work procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment when working with marine mechanical equipment’s and other equipment.
- Ensuring an adequate level of cleanliness, maintenance of tools and equipment in the workshop.
- Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Communicate and discuss with supervisors/technicians on work execution.
