**Professional experience**
- Have a good working knowledge of various infrastructure components (Windows, Storage, Networks) and the processes required to maintain the infrastructure.
- Understanding of Change Management and Incident Management processes and procedures.
- Adherence to bank standards for change control, database security, database patterns, database builds and migrations.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated environment and the associated processes and tools
- Resolves critical incidents and problems and fluently applies escalation and notification procedures to leadership.
- Experienced with owning change planning, communication and approvals for significant changes / upgrades

**Technical skills**

**(MSSQL DBA)**
- Strong knowledge in administering MSSQL SQL Server
- Experience with software installation and upgrades.
- Experience working with multiple VLDB database systems.
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Experience with backups, restores, Disaster recovery planning
- Experience with SQL Clustering database configuration.
- Experience with managing databases in High Availability (AlwaysON) & SQL Replication setup
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time & Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document change
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
- Evaluate database software features and related products and identifies improvements to create a more effective and efficient database system.
- Perform Database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards related to database design and operations.
- Working with peers in the other technology teams to find the best solutions

**(Oracle DBA Skill sets)**
- Experienced in Oracle Installation and configuration
- Oracle upgrades & patching
- Backing up and recovering databases using export/Import, Hot/Cold backup and using Rman.
- Oracle Processes monitoring and tuning
- Understanding of database security, Logins/Permission
- Knowledge of Day-to-Day Basic Linux Command used for Oracle DB management

**Other Skills**:

- Working experience in 24x7 support environment for critical production system
- Working experience to support cross-region business hours and provide weekend support on rota basis.
- Experience in working with Vendor technical support staff, including vendor development teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills a natural passion for both finance and technology.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to diagnose problems and resolve issues across various tiers.
