Assistant Store Manager

**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Store Manager assists in driving the achievement of sales goals, profitability and other Key Performance Indicators while performing day to day operations. This role is responsible for supporting merchandising standards and delivering operational excellence while leading, coaching, and mentoring teammates. In the absence of Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes their responsibilities.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
Sales & Omni
- Supports the short
- and long-term business plan by driving the achievement of Sales, Profitability, and other Key Objectives for the store
- Effectively use technology to enhance athlete engagement and drive the achievement KPIs.
- Support omni-channel efforts through the promotion of our Apps, Social campaigns and athlete contests.
Brand Image & Customer Experience
- Act as the leader on duty by modelling Athlete service standards and selling behaviours.
- Maintain brand standards of neat, clean, and organized sales floor, cash wrap, and fitting room in the store.
- Communicate clear expectations for achieving brand standards.
Retail Operations
- Oversee daily operational procedures.
- Partner with Store Manager on payroll/schedule adjustments for to meet productivity, payroll, & sales targets.
- Support/Lead the handling of merchandise through reporting and sales.
- Responsible for Leading or supporting visual directives including mapping and floor sets are planned. Support/Lead shipment receipt, processing, markdown optimization, and replenishment systems.
- Partner in replenishment activates - Fill the Floor, power closes, power opens and merchandise adjustments.
- Reviews store audit compliance and shrink results against company loss prevention standards.

- Build and support relationships with teammates, peers, and leadership to lead positive change.
- Partner with the Store Manager to execute performance management tools.
- Participate in the development of teammates with an emphasis on retaining high performing teammates.
- Recognize and resolve teammate performance issues.
- Communicate priority issues to the Store Manager in a timely manner and collaborate on solution.
- Assists with the teammate lifecycle through recruitment, training, and development of teammates.
- Support Store Manager during the performance review processes for teammates.
- Drives teammate engagement by recognizing and rewarding teammates for their outstanding performance.
- Hold teammates accountable related to employment practices and policies.
- Communicate with the leadership team to align and drive business strategy.
- Proactively seek personal learning and development opportunities to build leadership skill set.
- Partner with Store Manager on reinforcement of Under Armour Policies and Procedures.
- Lead/Support a Division of Responsibility (DOR) to assist with the overall efficiency of the store.
**Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**:
- Advanced numeracy, literacy, and advanced communication skills.
- Fluent in local language and basic verbal English skills
- Responsible for communicating daily processes and procedures.
- Proficient in use of computers and other technology.
- Effectively communicate with athletes, teammates, and leadership.
- Knowledgeable of store operations, visual merchandising, stock room, risk management & safety.
- Knowledgeable of employment laws including compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Knowledgeable on daily processes, procedures, operations, and organizational design and the impact they have on the success of the store.
- Ability to create a positive and motivating work environment by recognizing teammates contributions.
- Ability to mentor and track the development of teammates.
- Ability to assign and monitor daily operational activities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to analyze sales reports and business trends to drive sales.
- Ability to recognize concerns/issues, use available resources, and escalate to leadership when necessary.
**Education And / Or Experience**:
- 1-3 years of experience in a sports/fashion customer & commercial focused retail environment
- 12 months of retail supervisory experiences
