**Algorithmic Trader**

**Responsibilities**:

- Designing and implementing automated trading strategies to provide liquidity in a range of products on global exchanges.
- Contributing original ideas and research to develop new trading strategies across asset classes and geographies.
- Working with technology teams to improve the trading platform, existing strategies and onboard new markets.
- Creating tools for back-testing strategies, analyzing market data, market microstructure and broader trends in the market.
- Developing tools to support the running and monitoring of trading strategies across regions in a 24x5 environment.
- Contribute to the hiring and mentoring of junior team members.

**Qualifications**:

- A Master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other similarly quantitatively oriented major.
- Significant experience with designing and/or implementing automated trading strategies in a proprietary trading environment.
- An understanding of exchanges, market microstructure, compliance and risk management in the context of algorithmic trading.
- Strong programming and problem solving skills. Proficiency with programming in at least one statically typed language (C++/ Java/ C#) and familiarity with at least one scripting/data processing language (Python/Scala/R/MATLAB).
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced environment while balancing multiple tasks. Self-motivated and an ability to take ownership of large and complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to document and explain your work in a concise and precise manner.

**Bonus Points**:

- Familiarity with at least some asset classes from amongst Equities, ETFs, Futures, Options, FX, etc.
- Experience with the design, architecture and development of high frequency/low latency trading platforms with high reliability and availability.
- Experience with collecting, processing and warehousing raw data from exchanges and integrating it with back-testing frameworks.
