**The team you will be a part of**

The Head of Government Affairs (GA) APJ represents Nokia and is responsible for Nokia's engagements and advocacy activities towards Government Affairs stakeholders in the APJ region. In this capacity, the role supports Nokia APJ region's business objectives, thought-leadership and reputation.

The Head of GA APJ is part of the Government Affairs International Leadership team and reports to the Vice President of Government Affairs International. The Head of GA APJ works closely with the APJ Region Market head and teams to align on and contribute to the region business strategy.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

The Head of GA APJ contributes to Nokia's competitiveness in the region by proactively building relevant relationships and influencing the policy and regulatory environment in the region vis-à-vis GA stakeholders, addressing issues and opportunities relevant to Nokia APJ region's business. A particular attention is put in pro-actively seeking and developing funding and financing opportunities.

As part of the team, you will:

- Support the development of position papers and drive the customization and the advocacy of those in the region through all relevant channels.
- Work as a key interface between Nokia and governments, regulators, trade associations and business delegations.
- In developing advocacy, work with a variety of Nokia functions (Corporate Affairs, Legal, Customer Experience, Business Groups, Strategy & Technology...).
- Be responsible for engaging with key trade associations on issues of interest to the company. This includes telecom and data policy at large, spectrum, cybersecurity, trade, and intellectual property amongst others.
- Lead efforts to identify opportunities for GA and company participation in industry panels, events, and delegations.
- Work closely with the APJ Region Market head and teams to align on and contribute to the region business strategy

**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- A four-year degree is required. Graduate education in public policy or law is preferred. At least ten years of experience in a comparable position is preferred.
- A working knowledge of the agencies involved in activities associated with Telecom/Digital business activities is preferred, along with geopolitical understanding.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a complex environment where flexibility and influencing skills are essential.

It would be nice if you also have:

- Familiarity with key trade associations within the information and communications technology sector (ICT) is preferred.

Graduate in Political Science/Public Administration or Law.

Masters in Management is preferred.
