**Description**

Our company operates a boutique lab specializing in fine fragrance, air care and body care products.

You will work together with the Head of Projects and Marketing & Sales Team in the development of new products and processes.

To be successful in this role, you will have interest in the formulation, testing and production of concepts related to these categories. You possess a can do attitude with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**a) Laboratory: -**

To plan and ensure the needs and requirements of the team in terms of consumables.

To ensure that the lab is adequately stocked with clean glassware, minor equipment, chemicals, etc. required for formulations.

Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment through regular checks.

Required to assemble reagents, chemicals and media that are needed for formulations.

To ensure that standard operating procedures and safety regulations are followed.

Responsible for the general cleanliness of the lab.

**b) Research: -**

Maintain up to date knowledge of the market place, innovations and trends

To properly and systematically record all formulations that have been assigned and their results.

To analyse and plan further formulations under guidance.

**c) Production: -**

To work with the production team on scoping new projects.

To support the sampling process.

To assist with procurement of raw materials as needed.

To assist with the manufacture process to ensure highest level of quality control.

Develop and update SOPs.

**d) Administrative duties: -**

To plan and ensure that the overall lab administrative needs of the team are met.

Responsible for purchasing necessary equipment, chemicals, reagents as required by the lab or project.

Maintain a systematic and proper record of all purchases and material documentation.

Liaising between the vendors and the administrative office to ensure proper purchase requisitions, goods delivery and prompt payment of supplies.

**e) Additional tasks: -**

Where relevant, supporting workshops and client presentations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per month

- 13th month salary

**Education**:

- Local Polytechnic Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- produce of fragrance: 2 years (preferred)
