Application Development and Support

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic professional to join our Application L3 team as a Java Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and providing support for a critical mission system. Your expertise in Java technologies, along with industry best practices, will be instrumental in delivering fully functional software that meets schedule and requirements.

As part of the team, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship on SOPs, ITSM, and the usage of Monitoring & Investigation tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Investigate issues reported by Application Support (L2) and provide effective workarounds or permanent solutions.
- Workaround solutions may involve tasks such as data patching, shell scripting, and PL/SQL scripting.
- Permanent solutions may require code changes and workflow adjustments.
- Support continuous improvement throughout the development life cycle of enterprise-level software solutions, including enhancements and maintenance.
- Create and maintain documentation for software design specifications.
- Provide after-office-hours standby duty support with corresponding allowances or off-in-lieu compensation as needed:

- One week of standby duty for every one to two months.
- Ad-hoc onsite activation for urgent production issues.
- Occasional support duties outside working hours or on public holidays based on clients' requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in Computing/Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 2 years of development experience in Java.
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot framework.
- Proficiency in relational databases, such as Oracle.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Angular, Struts, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Exposure to one or more full SDLC for enterprise projects.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Possesses excellent analytical, problem investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Has an analytical mindset with a solid understanding of business and functional concepts.
- Proactive, self-driven, and can perform well under pressure with a high sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Good understanding of modern software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, scripting, and tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders of all levels (Internal teams, clients, external/other 3rd party vendors, and management).
