Superintendent, Technical

To plan, control, and execute all activities connected with dry-docking, conversion, or modification of assigned ships, including the preparation of docking specifications, cost compilation, and final reports.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Overall responsible for evaluation of dry-docking and repair quotes and selection of shipyards for repairs.
- Responsible to carry out a systematic review of recommended codes guidelines and standards and advice to ships about new rules and regulations, codes and guidelines.
- To ensure the ships are maintained in safe and seaworthy condition by complying with rules and regulations, codes and guidelines.
- To ensure company operational procedures are observed onboard each vessel.
- To ensure that defect list items reported as critical are dealt within the stipulated time frame.
- To ensure that ship inspections are carried out regularly on each ship visits, including ship’s records.
- To ensure that all vessels are in full compliance with all international and statutory rules and regulation and Client requirements.
- To ensure that the assigned vessels are technically operational and otherwise managed and manned to the extent laid down in the management agreement of these vessels
- To ensure updated vessel specifications are available at all times together with details of all equipment onboard
- To determine repair specifications for drying docking, maintenance and surveys together with the most economical method of completion
- To ensure proper up-to-date records are kept during and on completion of dry dockings and repairs for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of works and products involved
- To attend to vessel dry docking, repairs and surveys when required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $4,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
