LOVE, NILS is a Singapore-registered IPC charity. Our mission is to provide support to children with cancer and their caregivers to enable them to thrive. We help support these children and their families with much-needed healthcare guidance, emotional care, plus social and community support as they navigate the trauma of childhood cancer.

The Chief Operating Officer will partner closely with the Executive Director (ED) to chart LOVE, NILS’s future growth and strategic planning, and develop the operating strategies to attain those goals. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the organization runs smoothly.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief Operating Officer will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all LOVE, NILS programs; He or she will provide leadership to the LOVE, NILS strategic planning process and will implement new programmatic strategic initiatives. The Chief Operating Officer works with individual department heads to monitor their work, not only ensuring each function stays on track to meet its goals, but also making sure each department understands its role in relation to the other departments and the nonprofit’s mission.
- Contribute to the development of LOVE, NILS’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
- Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the ED informed of all critical issues.
- Collaborate with the ED in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
- Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
- Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation.
- Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with the ED and staff.
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs.
- Identify opportunities for LOVE, NILS to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
- Prepare and submit an annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Ensure the continued financial viability of LOVE, NILS’s operational units through sound fiscal management.
- Manage and cultivate existing relationships with funders to secure and expand recurring revenue streams.
- Oversee fundraising department to ensure financial sustainability of the organization.
- Represent LOVE, NILS in industry-group conferences, professional associations, and other public venues, as needed.
- Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging practice areas.
- Share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications.
- Partner with the ED in essential internal firm leadership activities (human resources, administration, and organizational planning).
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain LOVE, NILS’ high-performance senior management team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning and program budgeting.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum BS/BA degree with at least 10 years of experience and a track record in senior program management.
- Excellence in organizational management with the ability to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
- Extensive experience in program budgeting and fiscal management.
