Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) seeks a Deputy Director, Legal and Secretarial Office (LSO), to immediately join its team.

This role suits a dynamic individual who will be a "change agent" and understands the unique balance in taking risk within the confines of good judgment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide timely legal advice and strategic support to stakeholders across the University on general corporate and commercial matters
- Develop the IP protection and management approach and operationalise it across the University
- Drive IP awareness through regular engagement with stakeholders and conducting training
- Support the execution of LSO’s strategy, including delivery of change initiatives in respect of contract management, workflows, processes, change impact analysis, policies and procedures as well as the adoption of legal technology tools and other operational solutions
- Guide a lean team of committed individuals supporting these activities

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a reputable university
- At least 12 years PQE, either gained in-house or through a reputable law firm
- Passion to create value, drive improvement, facilitate change, and transform legal processes and systems
- Able to think creatively to provide pragmatic legal solutions
- Excellent project management skills and management of priorities
- Possess a positive outlook with a growth mindset
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to partner with other legal and compliance professionals
