Senior Production Associate

10x Genomics is looking for a Senior Production Associate to join its consumable manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for production consumable products associated with GEM/ Single Cell Sequencing and Next Generation Sequencing chemistries. This role requires good laboratory skills in performing production operations consistently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute production operations according to defined procedures and ensure the integrity and quality of products
- Perform bulk formulation of reagents and hydrogel production processes, including in-process testing
- Support incident investigations, including the use of problem solving techniques to develop corrective and/or preventive actions
- Operate various complex manufacturing equipment (e.g., automated liquid handling system) for production biochemistry, manual handling may be required as part of manufacturing process requirements
- Operate and maintain laboratory to clean room standards required in the production of Life Science products
- Process work orders accurately using Production Batch Records and Oracle system in a timely manner
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and ensure inventory levels are accurate
- Maintenance of production batch records and good documentation practice under ISO 9001: 2015 requirements, including participation as internal auditor
- Embrace and practice 6S culture with the aim to promote and sustain a high level of productivity and safety within the organization
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot common manufacturing issues for continuous process and quality improvement
- Manage or lead department projects that will provide positive impact the production quality and efficiency

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 7 years of experience in a biotechnology manufacturing environment
- BS degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Chemical Process
- Familiar with basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting, weighing, pH and conductivity measurements, management of temperature sensitive samples

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with supporting incident investigation
- Product transfer knowledge
- Previous experience mentoring and training junior staff
- Cross-site project experience
- Internal / External audit experience
