- Your contribution at AIG
- As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.
- Key Accountabilities:

- Responsible for profitable growth of one of the largest lines of Business (Auto) for AIG in Singapore.
- Work in close partnership with global and regional product leadership to ensure top line and bottom-line results meet operating and strategic plan objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve the overall profitable growth targets.
- Manage the Auto Underwriting function and ensure timely and effective execution of underwriting strategies, plans and actions.
- Establish, review, and monitor underwriting guidelines ensuring adherence to delegated underwriting authority.
- Develop, maintain, and expand our relationships with existing and new potential partners.
- Evaluate and develop new product propositions in partnership with regional/global teams taking an outside-in approach.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Auto operations including close collaboration with claims function to manage loss costs and address adverse trends.
- Provide effective leadership, guidance, direction, and training to the core team as required. Train & Develop Auto underwriters and product managers at a local level as required and as evidenced by audits and underwriting results.
- In partnership with Pricing and Portfolio management team, develop and enhance portfolio management best practices to help better manage the Auto book of business.
- Support underwriting audits and provide recommendations that will improve the quality of Auto underwriting in the country.
- What we are looking for:

- At least 10 years of prior P&C industry experience including leading Personal Lines Business.
- Strong business acumen, instinct and understanding of Auto insurance products and risk appetite.
- Demonstrated ability to build sound business plans for the target line of business.
- Proven Capabilities of leveraging data to find impactful insights and drive actionable strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail.
- Project management capabilities and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record in external relationship management.
