**Job Purpose**

Information Security Risk Managers are responsible for managing information and cyber security risk and instrumental in ensuring our clients organisation-wide Cyber Resilience.

This role will serve as a second line of defence accountable for ensuring the highest standard of implementation of security controls

You will be responsible for the Information Security policies, standards, procedures, and governance including building partnerships and regulatory engagement.

**The Role Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the COO and function leadership you will provide risk advice, oversight and thought leadership to support the successful execution business directives.
- You will monitor the Information Security threat landscape and evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and remediation strategies from the lens of second line oversight.
- This role will have considerable engagements with all business units and stakeholders across the bank, including advising and challenging first line, technology teams and business units in Information Security practices
- Assess risks and report it to the first line teams and oversee risk from a second line perspective identifying improvement areas and highlighting gaps
- Work to mitigate risks through planning and guidance and ensure these plans are sufficiently followed.

**Job requirements**
- University degree in Cyber Security or Technology or equivalent
- Security industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CRISC
- 10 years or more experience in information security governance or risk ideally in the Financial Services sectors
- Knowledge of NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001 or related frameworks
- Multifaceted knowledge of security domains and topics
