Job Description:

- Documentation creation and conversion to Batam standards;
- Drive the development and design transfer for Analytical Lighting products from Salem to Batam, working with Cambridge and Salem counterparts interfacing with Batam Manufacturing team to ensure successful transfer, ultimately leading to mass production in Batam;
- Coordinate and prioritize equipment transfers/CAPEX requirements to ensure timely production transfers as required;
- Provide technical leadership to manage & realize product/process transfer timeline and critical paths to meet transfer objective and target;
- Work with Cambridge/Salem/Batam Manufacturing teams to review process capability and transfer plan;
- 50% travel (Batam, 40%, Cambridge/Salem 10%) will be required during this phase to kick off the production transfers;
- Determine and develop manufacturing processes by studying process transfer requirements, researching, designing, adapting manufacturing methods and equipment within the transfer scope;
- Provide technical support to Batam production transfer team on production equipment set up and critical parameter setting to ensure manufacturability using Measurement System Analysis (MSA / GR&R), Process Failure Mode Space requirement and equipment layout (Lean concept);
- Improve manufacturing efficiency (capacity & productivity) by analyzing and planning work-flow and equipment layout;
- Engage in development research/competitor analysis as input to future technical roadmap and conceptual design and research;

- Manage and lead customers’ sample request;
- Work with Batam team to assure product and process quality (yield) by designing reliable methods, process capabilities and standardize document (WI, FMEA, PCP).

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Optical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related discipline;
- 5 years in a related industry or occupation preferred;
- Experience in documentation creation and manufacturing of lighting systems and Xenon lamps;
- Knowledge of electrical test systems, furnace brazing, glass working, vacuum deposition processes;
- Extensive travel between Singapore and Batam. Some travel to Cambridge and Salem expected;
- Able to manage customer requests and sample requirements.
