**As a Flower Garland Specialist you have the following job skills**

1) Assembles garlands, using fresh flowers and artificial decorations.

2) Cuts flowers to length, using pruning shears and sorts them according to shade of color.

3) Ties boughs to garland cord with string, spacing boughs to attain uniform appearance.

4) Attaches specified decorations.

Selecting and arranging flowers and decorative items to create standard and customized floral arrangements. Serving in-store customers and processing payments. Maintaining an adequate supply of wires, foams, ribbons, tapes, and other decorative supplies. Ordering fresh flowers from wholesalers and growers as required.More must need to handle the bellow duties and responsibilities

1) Cuts out assembles materials, like fabric, wood, and paper, performing any combination of following tasks to make artificial foliage, like flowers, wreaths, and trees.

2) Cuts out flower parts, like leaves petals from paper, fabric, or plastic, using handtools, like scissors, knives, hammers and dies.

3) Stamps out flower parts with hand operated or power driven machine.

4) Places roll of material on spindle of machine that automatically forms artificial flower stems.

5) Prints veining on artificial leaves, using stamps handpress.

6) Dips flowers into specified dye squeezes out excess dye, using hands.

7) Fastens twigs buds to steel wire to form branches by hand or using twisting machine.

8) Wires or glues flower parts to stem or branch.

9) Fastens artificial flowers and foliage to wreath stand and inserts cones grass decorations to form artificial wreath.

10) May wrap stems with green brown paper to effect natural appearance.

11) May be designated according to product produced as Wreath And Garland Maker, Hand button and notion ; or shape artificial flower petals from fabric, using tweezers, heated metal ball, and wooden form, and be designated Petal Shaper, Hand button notion..
