Finance Executives ensure that Ensign management have relevant information in their fingertips to make sound financial decisions. As a Finance Executive, you will get to work with detailed financial data while finding innovative ways to streamline information flow to the management.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive our financial reporting preparation and automation effort. You will be part of a team that is responsible for timely handling of monthly financial closing, reporting and analysis which are in accordance with corporate policies and statutory requirements. You must keep current with changing statutory requirements and tax laws and determine the implications of such changes to financial reporting.

You will also be involved in ad-hoc projects assigned.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with other parts of finance team to perform full month-end closing
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and actively oversee reconciliation of any open items
- Calculate taxable income and the income tax liabilities of the organisation.
- Calculate the cost of different types of capital financial instruments and the overall costs of capital for the organisation.
- Compile accurate tax-related information for the organisation.
- Compute the valuation of business and financial assets using different models.
- Maintain accurate journal entries and allocations.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Provide data in relation to assets, capital rationing and cost of capital.
- Reconcile accounts and provide analysis for the organisation's financial transactions.
- Support the Finance Managers on monthly and quarterly financial performance analysis of the group
- Support the Finance Managers on annual audits and other statutory requirements
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepare financial statements and disclosure notes.
- Provide accurate and timely tax and financial reports to the relevant authorities.
- Respond to internal and external auditors on audit data, variances and audit findings.
- Drive reporting automation and GL closing process improvement

**Preferred qualifications**
- Diploma/Degree level qualification in Accounting / Business
- Analytical mind and ability to work independently with general supervision
- A team player who displays ‘can do’ attitude, open-mindedness and willingness to learn
- Confident and driven, not afraid to challenge the status quo
