Role Description

The position of Country Manager Romania is a unique opportunity to lead and establish Autopay's footprint in Romania. As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading market expansion efforts, driving business development, and ensuring operational excellence. Your daily duties will include developing and executing strategies for market penetration, building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and overseeing all operational aspects to ensure compliance with Romanian regulations. You will lead strategic planning initiatives in collaboration with global teams to align local goals with the company's overall strategy and adapt global offerings to meet local market needs. Additionally, you will have financial oversight responsibilities, driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and ensuring effective resource allocation.

Requirements

  • An MBA or equivalent is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar leadership role, with proven expertise in payment services, fintech, or financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Romanian market and regulatory landscape for payment services.
  • Strong network and relationships within the financial services and payments industry in Romania.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results and growth.
  • Residency in Romania is required.
