The role

The Strategy Director will be the key person in crafting integrated creative, communication and Platform/Application’s go-to-market strategies. You will be reporting to our Head of Strategy, Content & Media, and supporting both Internal and Client projects.


To excel in this role, it is of utmost importance that you have experience in a Marketing/Advertising Agency setting, and embody a roll-up-your-sleeve attitude.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Overall Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Continuously assess market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to refine the brand’s roadmap and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Be the strategic compass for Internal Project, New business pitches and Client campaigns, developing connection plans that work across earned, owned, and paid media
  • Create an environment of quality strategic thinking across the agency, sharing best practices with the wider team.

Platform/Application Strategy Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop informed and integrated communication go-to-market strategies that aligns with platform/application’s objective in both tangible (e.g. revenue/commercial value) and intangible (e.g. brand perception) manner.
  • Collaborate closely with the Tech and Product Engineering + Media team to gather and analyse data, market reports and trends to derive compelling strategic insights as the basis for strategies, as well as maintenance/optimisation strategies.
  • Analyse existing platform/app features and its’ data (e.g. User Interface & Experience (UI/UX), Customer Journey, Monetization Strategy) and propose strategic optimisation platform features to maximize user acquisition, engagement, and retention, ensuring a positive impact on key financial metrics (e.g. higher conversion rates, increased lifetime value, improve ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), customer loyalty etc.).
  • Leverage data analytics to identify growth opportunities, optimize Platform/Application’s pricing models, and recommend strategies that increase operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure Platform/Application development investments and features prioritize ROI and support overall business objectives, with clear paths to revenue generation or cost savings.

B2C & G2C Strategy Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the New Biz/Client Management Team to understand clients’/projects’ strategic needs.
  • Develop informed and integrated creative, communication strategies that aligns with clients’/brands’/projects’ objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools to uncover insights, refine strategies, and ensure the success of client objectives.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with emerging social platforms, content trends, and digital innovations.
Experience and Attributes
  • 6 - 10 years of experience in Communications, Brand Strategy, Business Consulting, Media, Platform/App Marketing or related fields, with experience in the Marketing/Advertising Agency preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading Brand and Communications strategies for Platform/Applications, B2C or G2C clients, with a track record of driving growth and client satisfaction.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to uncover data-informed insights and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Embodies charisma, with good storytelling skills in verbal and written form, especially presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a self-motivated and self-starting personality, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Data Analytics tools such as Meltwater, AppsFlyer etc.
