Job Description
Manage invoice issuance and post-fixture voyage claims in accordance with contractual terms.
Handle hires and other claims of ship owners.
Collaborate with the Finance team on operational profitability, budgeting variances, and basic financial accounting.
Manage time charterers and pools contracts.
Conduct voyage profit and loss analysis and reporting.
Follow up with counterparties for timely payment and maintain records of outstanding amounts.
Monitor the shipping portfolio to ensure accurate market exposure management.
Qualifications
University degree in Maritime or an equivalent field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in post fixture claims with a reputed tanker owner, commercial tanker operator, oil major or oil trader.
Experience in financial accounting would be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and meticulous with a strong sense of responsibility.
Team player and able to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
