OWA Asia-Pacific Corporate Strategy Lead The Humane League (THL) is a global nonprofit ending the abuse of animals raised for food. THL has a staff of 100+ distributed worldwide and focuses on improving conditions in the food system. The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of THL, is a global coalition working to end the abuse of chickens worldwide and to eliminate battery cages by securing cage-free policies from retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. Core Responsibilities Provide OWA member groups in the Asia-Pacific region with strategic guidance and direction for regional corporate campaign strategies, and collaborate with groups to troubleshoot issues. Co-create strategies with OWA groups and serve as a coach, building their independence over time. Support groups in adapting campaign tactics to different local and regional contexts to secure cage-free commitments from companies. Lead in-person and virtual training for OWA groups on corporate campaigning and corporate outreach. Build strong relationships and trust with OWA groups, and maintain a reputation as a sharp strategic thinker and strategist. Develop resources and training materials to build resilience, empowerment, and autonomy in the OWA. In addition to the above essential duties, other duties may be assigned as business needs arise. Qualifications / Ideal Profile Experience with successful corporate pressure campaigns and/or corporate negotiations; experience developing campaign strategy and executing campaign components. Strategic thinking and problem solving; ability to identify opportunities, innovate tactics, evaluate options, and anticipate obstacles to secure animal welfare commitments from companies. Initiative, proactivity, adaptability, and the ability to work independently with a strong ownership mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to train and explain ideas clearly across diverse audiences. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts. Time management and prioritization skills to handle competing demands. Global perspective; ability to adapt strategies to regional and local contexts while prioritizing global impact. Mission alignment with THL's goal to end the abuse of animals raised for food; familiarity with the animal protection movement in the Asia-Pacific region. Location, Travel, and Working Hours This is a full-time, remote position requiring domestic and international travel (approximately 5+ trips per year) and a valid passport. Hours may extend outside 9am-5pm at least two working days per week to enable collaboration with global team members. The position can be based in Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, or Indonesia, and the candidate must be authorized to work in one of these countries and reside there during employment.
