Plant Process Safety Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Plant Process Safety updates are managed effectively, in compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Lead the development and implementation of safety case related items and support major shutdown activities.
  • Oversee the management of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) budgets and expenditure, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Approve procurement of essential consumables and equipment, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Evaluate and implement measures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage EHS registers and arrange annual environmental/health assessments (stacks, IHM, noise), identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead the development and execution of Environmental Action Initiative (EAI) and Risk Assessment programs for process-related modifications, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Develop, review, and update EHS procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), aligning them with best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on EHS matters, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations and non-conformance reporting to authorities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage and oversee EHS training programs, both internal and external, ensuring staff have the necessary skills to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for staff development, coaching, and performance monitoring, recognizing and rewarding outstanding contributions.
