Head of Supply Chain (Chemicals Manufacturing Industry / MNC / Base Salary up to 156,000SGD) Our client is a MNC and a well established manufacturer of specialty chemicals. They are currently seeking a Head of Supply Chain to join their team. This role will be leading a team of 7. Responsibilities Design and implement supply chain strategies that align with overall business goals, production capacity, and customer demand. Promote ongoing improvements in cost‑efficiency, service quality, and reliability using Lean, Six Sigma, and digital technologies. Establish a robust and flexible supply chain capable of adapting to market fluctuations while maintaining operational efficiency. Manage the sourcing and procurement of key materials. Develop strategic supplier relationships, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure consistent supply at competitive prices. Apply supplier performance tracking and risk management practices to maintain supply continuity and quality. Lead key planning processes including demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and master scheduling. Balance service levels, costs, and working capital by optimizing inventory for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Align production schedules with customer needs and manufacturing capacity to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate closely with plant operations to ensure efficient scheduling and timely availability of materials. Oversee logistics functions including warehousing, transportation, and distribution to achieve high On‑Time‑In‑Full (OTIF) delivery performance. Implement warehouse best practices such as FIFO, safety protocols, and space utilization strategies. Uphold exceptional order fulfillment standards and dependable service for all customers. Serve as the main supply chain liaison for sales, marketing, and finance to drive business growth. Promote cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure a seamless and responsive customer experience. Lead, mentor, and develop a results‑oriented supply chain team across procurement, planning, logistics, and customer service functions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. At least 10 years’ experience in supply chain in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in chemicals or FMCG manufacturing is a plus. Proven track record in procurement, planning, logistics, and S&OP. Strong ERP/MRP expertise (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and drive large‑scale improvements.
