Responsibilities

• Select and manage reliable suppliers and service providers, both locally and internationally.
• Oversee the procurement of major items and services, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor and control the cost and quality of procured goods/services.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities during procurement and provide strategic advice.
• Support and coordinate procurement training initiatives across the business unit to meet evolving organizational and staff needs.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing supplier, subcontractor, and consultant contract forms, ensuring appropriate commercial terms are included.
• Provide procurement support to project teams as required, including initiating RFQs, negotiating terms, and coordinating delivery.
• Maintain and improve procurement policies and procedures for continued operational excellence.
• Keep an updated register of approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with site and project managers to ensure seamless day-to-day procurement support.
• Participate in internal audits alongside the QSE Manager and Commercial Manager.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Construction-related discipline).
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of local supply chains.
• Proven ability to evaluate procurement issues and resolve them using structured problem-solving approaches.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Familiarity with standard contract terms and procurement documentation.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
