Our client is a global infrastructure investment manager with over USD 30 billion in assets under management. The firm is known for building and scaling platforms across diverse sectors including energy, transport, utilities, and digital infrastructure. With a strong presence across Asia, the platform takes a hands-on approach to value creation, working closely with portfolio companies to strengthen governance, enhance operations, and deliver long-term growth.
Role Overview
The firm is seeking a senior leader to join as
Principal / Head of Asset Management
in Singapore. This individual will be responsible for maximising the financial and strategic performance of the firm’s Asia portfolio. The role combines board-level responsibilities with hands-on execution and will work in close partnership with both portfolio company management and the investment team to drive measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the asset management strategy to deliver superior outcomes across the Asia portfolio.
Track and analyse financial KPIs to ensure assets perform in line with business plans and fund objectives.
Drive initiatives in capital structure optimisation, refinancing, and growth strategies to enhance returns.
Partner closely with investment teams and portfolio leadership on financial and operational performance improvement.
Oversee portfolio reviews, dashboards, and reporting for senior management and investors.
Represent the firm at board level, ensuring alignment of management with fund objectives.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a performance-driven culture.
Share insights from portfolio performance and market trends to support fund-level strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree is strongly preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
At least 15 years of experience in infrastructure investment, private equity, project finance, or related fields.
Strong M&A and financing experience, with a track record of closed transactions.
Prior background in investment banking, Big 4 deals advisory, or project finance with progression into PE/infrastructure asset management.
Demonstrated ability to interpret, manage, and improve asset performance using strong analytical and financial skills.
Hands-on executor with a track record of translating strategy into measurable financial outcomes.
Regional experience across Asia in infrastructure sectors such as energy, transport, utilities, and digital infrastructure.
Familiarity with ESG frameworks and regulatory compliance is preferred.
Collaborative, non-hierarchical approach with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
