Job Description
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions
Analyze market data, industry trends, and internal metrics to inform decision-making and strategy development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in category management
Oversee and mentor junior category managers, fostering a high-performance team culture
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks within assigned categories. Present category performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership
Drive sustainability initiatives within assigned categories, aligning with company ESG goals
Qualifications
University degree in Economics/Technical Studies, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
5+ years of experience in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably in the consumer goods industry
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP system
Advanced project management and crossfunctional team leadership abilities
In-depth knowledge of global supply chain management and automotive industry trends
Experience with market analysis and pricing strategies in the automotive sector
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Fluency in English
