Job Title: Strategic Enterprise Architect

Job Description

The role of the Strategic Enterprise Architect involves designing and implementing architecture for systems within one or more sub-domains. This position ensures that architectures align with business requirements and the organisation IT Target Architecture while minimizing complexity and costs.

The architect will collaborate with IT teams throughout the project lifecycle, manage vendor architects, and communicate architectural solutions to stakeholders. Additionally, this role includes ensuring adherence to governance processes and providing feedback to Enterprise Architecture on best practices.

This strategic enterprise architect will be responsible for defining Solution Architectures that satisfy the business requirements of projects/programs aligned with the organisation IT Target Architecture and the IT and Security Standards. They will also ensure that all project deliverables align with the specified Architecture, author the Solution Architecture Statement and System Requirement Statement.

This role requires strong communication and presentation skills, as well as experience in Integration Architecture, B2C and B2B architectures, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and working knowledge of the Logistics/Transportation industry.

• The architect will work closely with project IT teams through the complete project lifecycle: from inception to design, testing, technology selection, and deployment.

• The architect will manage vendors' architects.

• The architect will ensure that governance processes, including Architecture and Security touchpoints, are followed.

• The architect will provide feedback to Enterprise Architecture with best practices and implementation constraints of the IT standards or proposed Solution Architecture.
