We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented
Senior Associate (Tax) - GST and Income tax who has corporate tax experience or who is keen to diversify into corporate tax knowledge
to join our tax team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on Goods and Services Tax (GST) matters, ensuring clients' compliance with Singapore's GST regulations, and supporting various GST-related processes, including filings, audits, and advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and timely advice on GST matters in accordance with Singapore legislation and IRAS guidelines.
Assist with GST registration, and deregistration
Conduct GST health checks, compliance reviews, and due diligence exercises.
Assist in managing IRAS queries, audits, investigations, and voluntary disclosures.
Support clients in applying for GST schemes such as the Major Exporter Scheme (MES) or ACAP renewals.
Familiar with the ASK review process for purpose of conducting GST health checks and GST schemes applications/renewals
Monitor GST changes and interpret implications for business operations or client transactions.
Prepare, review, and file GST returns (F5, F7, etc.) on behalf of clients or internally.
Train internal staff or clients on GST requirements and develop GST manuals or SOPs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as accounting team) and external clients to support broader advisory engagements.
Support the preparation of individuals, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporate and withholding tax computations for a portfolio of clients.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
At least 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in GST compliance or advisory.
Strong knowledge of Singapore GST laws and IRAS procedures.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Xero, QuickBooks) and IRAS myTax Portal.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple engagements concurrently.
Professional qualifications such as CA (Singapore), ACCA, or equivalent and accreditation with SCTP will be an added advantage.
Meticulous and analytical mindset.
Proactive in identifying tax risks and recommending solutions.
Team player with a collaborative approach.
High level of integrity and commitment to compliance.
