Purpose of the Role

Due to K2 expansion, the APAC technical and delivery team is looking to hire an Engineering Trainee to support our internal design team management and design review work. This person will work closely with the SG HQ-based Project Management team to handle daily design-related issues for existing and future projects in the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager / Design Manager / Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
  • Assist in monitoring construction activities regularly to ensure the data centre facility is built to group standards.
  • Review design consultant's work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations.
  • Maintain K2 internal engineering standards, focusing on HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Support project commissioning and final handover activities.
  • Contribute to internal engineering design and development activities.
  • Uphold engineering and operation procedures following K2 standards.

Working Environment

  • Walking job sites with uneven terrain.
  • Working at heights and in noisy environments.
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Physical tasks including lifting, bending, twisting, and using hands for manipulation of small objects.

Job Requirements

  • Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience in building services design and construction project delivery, preferably data centre projects.
  • Knowledge of Electrical HV/LV distribution engineering and interest in data centre projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and electrical/mechanical calculation software such as Etap, IES, E20.
  • Good command of English; additional languages like Chinese or Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia are a plus.
  • Active, initiative, conscientious, sociable, flexible, and optimistic candidates.
