Project Coordinator (Marine) Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description:

  • Manage Daily Operations: Coordinate day-to-day projects, including marine repairs, inspections, and offshore operations in Singapore and overseas.
  • Assist Senior Management: Provide technical, operational, and commercial support to senior management, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Develop Project Quotations: Work with senior management to develop project quotations and submit them for approval.
  • Prepare Costing Reports: Create project costing reports for job completion settlements with clients.
  • Procure Materials: Issue material requisitions to the supply department for procurement.
  • Liaise with Clients: Communicate with clients, including shipowners, operators, repair managers, agents, and other stakeholders, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage Tools and Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment stored in the company warehouse.
  • Coordinate Transportation: Arrange transportation for engineers and repair teams, as well as tools and equipment, to and from job sites.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all necessary documentation and certificates are ready for submission to clients upon project completion and maintain records in the ERP system.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer remote technical support to customers and respond to their queries.
  • Develop Repair Techniques: Collaborate with senior management to develop repair techniques, training programs, and team building initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Possess experience in marine machinery and equipment, with a preference for past experience in shipyards or onboard ships.
  • Skills: Proven ability to coordinate marine service work, especially afloat repairs, and willingness to commit to working hours outside of regular office hours due to the nature of the job.
