The role of a Senior Process Engineer encompasses designing and executing process engineering work in various stages of project development. This involves preparing calculations, reviewing drawings, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

As a key member of the process team, responsibilities include leading feasibility studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and detail engineering design. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating project specifications, design philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, and operation manuals in accordance with clients' requirements.

Duties also include conducting process simulations, developing heat and material balances, and designing equipment such as reactors, columns, drums, heat exchangers, and tanks. Additionally, the candidate will need to develop respective process datasheets and carry out hydraulic design for pumps, compressors, blowers, and develop respective process datasheets.

Regular participation in P&ID design reviews, HAZOP, IPF, SIL studies, 3D model reviews, checking design outputs, datasheets, and drawings prepared by Process Engineers is required to ensure accuracy and completeness. The individual will also support construction and commissioning activities at site and coordinate with client, Project Team, and other engineering departments and vendors.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, analytical and reasoning abilities, and good knowledge of software such as PRO/II, HYSYS, HTRI, AUTOCAD, and Microsoft Office. They should also have excellent communication and technical skills, along with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information, contracts reports, international codes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in process engineering

Skills Requirements

  • Ability to use computer equipment and peripherals to perform routine computing tasks
  • Good knowledge of software such as PRO/II, HYSYS, HTRI, AUTOCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Possess good communication and technical skills
