Electrical Power Distribution Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Power Distribution Specialist to ensure the quality of our electrical power distribution, control and automation systems. This role involves inspecting incoming and outgoing parts to guarantee they meet specifications and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in quality control or assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect electrical components to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Accurately record and manage quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Report any quality issues to management for corrective action.
  • Segregate non-conforming products to avoid mix-ups before final decisions are made.
  • Approve or reject electrical components based on quality standards.
  • Conduct routine tests and checks on switchboards manufactured in-house.
  • Test and commission switchboards on-site or on vessels, ensuring customer satisfaction and handling any quality complaints or warranty issues.
  • Manage official tests requiring the presence of surveyors, consultants, or customers.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in achieving quality goals and responsibilities.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the QA Department.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols for all activities.
  • Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and functional.
  • Proactively prevent product non-conformity.
  • Recommend, implement, and check the effectiveness of solutions for identified problems.
  • Oversee the resolution process for non-conforming products.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ITE/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in electrical or switchboard manufacturing.
