What The Role Is
As an Engineer/Lead Engineer (Ops Systems), you are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of ICT capabilities through effective planning, management, and deployment of resources. You will apply professional knowledge and expertise to support and enhance Home Team's operational capabilities.
What You Will Be Working On
The successful jobholder will be assigned to manage the maintenance or enhancement of ICT systems. Responsibilities include:
Ensuring availability and reliability of the system
Maintaining security compliance and audit requirements
Planning and supporting systems, including Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery exercises
Managing budget and assets
Monitoring and reporting (monthly meetings, reports, ad-hoc reports)
Problem and issue management
Change management
Documentation updates
Vendor management
Contract and license management and renewal
Risk management and incident response
Planning tech refresh and upgrades, monitoring hardware/software end-of-life
Preparing budget papers and obtaining approvals
Decommissioning old equipment
Ensuring systems comply with GovTech and MHA Security Policies
What We Are Looking For
Tertiary education in Computer Studies, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
At least 3 years of relevant IT experience
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CITPM) is an advantage
Good interpersonal, spoken, and written communication skills
