Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Procurement Executive to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in sourcing high-quality machinery, parts, and materials from reputed and reliable suppliers worldwide. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of global supply chains, and the ability to meet client requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers globally to source machinery, parts, and materials based on client specifications and project requirements.
Conduct supplier assessments to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance with international standards.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective and timely procurement.
Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, logistics, and operations) to ensure seamless procurement processes.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of materials to make informed sourcing decisions.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance reports.
Work closely with the Commercial Executive to align procurement activities with client delivery timelines and avoid delays.
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of
5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the machinery, parts, or materials sourcing industry.
Proven track record of sourcing from international suppliers and managing global supply chains.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Familiarity with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and logistics processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
